Cath and Wren have always been attached at the hip ever since their mom walked out on the faimly. Wren even helps Cath write her Simon and Baz fanfiction which has become quite popular with thousands of readers. Cath always thought they would always be attached at the hip even when they are at college but her hopes were dashed when Wren announces that they won't be living together in the dorms and that Wren would like to have her own life outside of Cath. Feeling betrayed Cath closes herself up and retreats to her fanfiction. When the day finally comes to move to college Cath is sad while Wren is excited. College is supposed to be fun and it is for Wren who quickly jumps into the party scene leaving Cath in the dorms lost in the fantasy world of Simon Snow that Gemma T. Leslie has created. Cath turns into a hermit only leaving the dorm room to go to class. Cath is to shy to eat in the lunch area so she stays in her room using protein bars as food until Reagan Cath's room mate pulls her out of the dorm because being a hermit is lame. A friendship soon blossoms between Cath and Reagan and Cath even becomes Friends with Levi Reagan's boyfriend that is always waiting by the door of their dorm room for Reagan.
Wren and Cath begin to break from each other and find themselves, Cath even has a writing partner for her fiction writing class named Nick that she meets with once a week to write short stories with. Things are going pretty good for Cath until Nick takes credit for work that he didn't do alone leaving Cath completely out of the project. Feeling hurt Cath once again falls back into her fanfiction until one day when Levi comes over to study with Reagan but learns that Reagan has stood him up and he has a huge test the next day on a book that he will fail without help. Levi explains to Cath that he doesn't understand a story from reading a book that he only understands it if the story is read to him which is why he needs help from Reagan. Cath volunteers to help him by reading the book to him. They spend the whole night reading until they fall to sleep in Cath's bed together. The next thing Cath knows she is waking up because she accidently kissed Levi in her sleep...How could she do this to her room mate who has been a good friend? She can't sleep with her room mates boy friend (even though they were just sleeping) and then kiss him! Worst of all Cath liked the kiss and she is quickly falling for Levi. Everything come's crashing down when Cath get's a call that her father is in the hospital's mental ward and Cath's good time falls as reality slams it's self back into her life. On top of all that Wren and Cath's mom wants back into their lives after all the years without so much as a word. Making it through Freshmen year of college might be harder than Cath thinks....
Love lost.....
Love found.....
Forever Friendship...

Thoughts: I loved this book and I will probably reread it in the future. I myself am not really into fanfiction but I understand the dorky side of it. I loved the characters and found myself actually smiling at some of the things that Levi would say. The Plot was also very good. My only problem with the book is the fact that it just sort of ends and I know it is a pretty massive book but I just thought there could have been more. I am not disappointed with it though and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cute little love story mixed in with a bit of nerdyness!

"I need to think, if I can't think, who am I?"

"Underneath this veneer of slightly crazy and socially inept, I'm a complete disaster."

"If we stop to apologize and forgive each other every time we step on each other's toes, we'll never have time to be friends."
