Title:  If You Were Me and Lived In...France

Author:Carole P. Roman

Published:  CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform

This is a cute little book that follows a boy and girl as they teach you about France. There are even some French words included in the story. Don't worry if you can't pronounce them though because it shows you how to say the French words in the pronunciation section at the end of the book.

Thoughts: Did you know that Paris got it's title as the "city of light" because it was the first city to use gas lamps to light the streets in 1828? I learned something from this little book!

Title: The Treasure of Snake Island ( A Captain No Beard Story)

Author: Carole P. Roman

Published: Red Feather Publishing

This is a book that follows Captain No Beard and his crew that consists of his cousin, a baby, a lion, a frog, a monkey, and a parrot. The parrot who's name is Polly predicts a coming storm with the knowledge he gets from a book he read. The whole crew wants to learn too so they go on treasure hunt (after the storm predictions come true) in the hopes of finding more books!

Thoughts: This was a great book which encourages reading in children. I also liked the watercolor picture in the book as well.

I figured I would donate these books to a place that is close to where I live called The Center for Autism & Dyslexia. I hope they enjoy them!
